Algebra is your first 'real' mathematics course. It will require you to learn a new way of logical thinking and you will be using formulas and number representations to think logically about numbers and then you will use numbers to perform arithmetic calculations. - Scientific Calculator (NO GRAPHING CALCULATORS!)
- Ruler
- Colored Pencils (for graphing, at least 4 distinct colors)
- Pencil (Homework, Quizzes, Exams will not be accepted if done in pen!)

In order to excel in algebra, you will need a strong background in arthmetic, including being comfortable using decimals, exponents, numbers, fractions
